For a little more accuracy than the RPMs, buy a ColourTune.  It's
essentially a clear spark plug that lets you see the combustion in the
chamber.  Adjust the mixture screws until you have a nice blue explosion.
It's a tool made by Gunson that is usually found at places that sell parts
for old Jags, Triumphs, and MGs.  It did an excellent job with the Webers on
my Alfa.
