good day shopping & found another one (medium)

  apparently the local yard has been wondering why i haven't been
walking out with as much stuff lately, so they went out and bought me an
'84 to strip away. unfortunately, the only thing wrong with it is that
it doesn't have front seats. other than that, the body is excellent and
the engine runs good (who said they take the battery out of all the
cars?). i'd've bought it had i known it was for sale somewhere. the door
panels are brown and are in excellent shape if anyone's interested.
  at any rate, i got a few things. center console (complete), knee tray,
jack, and an instrument cluster (with a 24 hour clock!) for $30. as for
the free part i got a rubber strap for the hatch lid, another 'scirocco'
wheel cap, fog light switch (were fogs an option on sciroccos?), and
other various odd 'n ends. all in all, i was pleased.
  brings up a couple things, though. anyone wanting tarantulas out
there? i can get the set for $100 and there's a fifth one i could
probably get for $25 or so (these are in the central ohio area). they
all appear to be in near mint condition with wheel caps. there are also
a set of the 'hard-to-find' five-spoke wheels and three have the wheel
caps, one slightly banged ($100). i also have two 1984 owner's manual
and one 1984 maintenance guide (free to whomever wants 'em). let me know
if there's anything you're interested in and i'll see what kind of a
deal i can broker.
