MFA install

I have been wondering about the possibility of swapping in a MFA into my
'86 Scirocco 16v.  Has anyone ever attempted this?  I figure that I will
need the diplay (that would replace the clock) and the selector arm (that
would replace the wiper selector arm).  Besides being a pain to deal with
the wiring, is it very difficult to do?  Are there other sensors that I
would need as well?  Also, could I just pull all these peices off any VW
that had the MFA, or would it have to be a roc?
