I think i might have a solution for this problem. It
is a problem on my MK1 and although I have not done it
yet I feel it would work well. I bought this polyester
tape stuff at Woodcraft that is used as a 'slick'
surface for table saws and such. (I can't seem to find
the roll or mention of it in the catalog right now,
but if you need a specific description let me knw) It
is like 1/16 to 1/8 thick and about 3 inches wide. I
am going to line the track (on the seat) with it and
and the same time replace the factory plastic thingies
on the seats that currently ar the guides. THis will
do two things. It will fill in the space that is
causes the rocking and it will also let the seat slide
easier. A little grease on the mating surfaces will
also help the cause.
