Mk1 to Mk2 light swap?

I was wondering if anyone has fitted or tried to fit the old Mk1 scirocco 
dual round lights into the Mk2 cars.  Is there enough room?  I love the old 
Mk1 look with the dual rounds!  Or do I have to go with the Euro lights like 
everyone else? :-)
