Re: Prepping an 8v for AutoX
just a couple of comments on your setup:
-i would stay away from poly bushings, consensus is they suck
-if your going to autox you might think about keeping the stock front bar
for awhile, no front bar may work for road racing well but i think it
helps to have some roll stiffness on the slower autox track. its no prob
to remove it anyway if you feel the need to.
-personally i dont like Autotech's hollow bars, their solid ones may be ok
though. you cant go wrong with neuspeed's bars either.
-as for a rear upper tie bar, i would like some opinions from guys
running the neuspeed triangulated brace. Myself, i dont think it would
make a noticible difference at all, but i have never tried one out so i
dont know. I plan to custom make a regular upper tie bar similar to the
Eurosport but with rod ends for adjustability. BUt i wanted to see
if anyone thought the neuspeed was worth buying. I cant see that the loss
of trunk space can be offset by any increase in performance. I already
can't fit anything in my trunk now, and i havent even gotten my sub/amp
rack in yet!
