Heater Vents

Easy question.

Are the dash vents at the ends supposed to have heat coming out of
them.  Mine get air flow from the fan but no heat.  I do get plenty of
heat through the center vent.  I don't want to start tearing out the
dash if this is the way it is supposed to work.
