225/50/14's WOW! My guess is No Way! I ran 205/55/14's on my 81 Scirocco
on Revolution 14x7's and had fender rubbing with rolled inner fenders. I now
am running 195/55/14's and they rarely rub but it still happens on occasion.
I have run 205/50/15's on the car before and they also rubbed.
IMHO Without modifying the fenders I think you will have nothing but
trouble.
