So the clutch arm is travelling up and down normally ?

Have you tried putting it in 1st while the car is off then turning the key 
and hitting the gas slightly and getting it going without touching the clutch 
pedal ? Just make sure you have room while trying this . If it works fine 
once you get it going I think the pushrod may have poked through the plate in 
the clutch or something along those lines . 

I drove around for awhile with a broken clutch pedal assembly by matching 
revs and starting the car in gear . Works well in a pinch .
