shifting

Just finished doing some shifter linkage bushing replacement, and changed 
tranny fluid over to Redline.  Oh, man what a difference!!  If feels so 
tight now, I never knew if could be that way.  Still have some side to side 
slop however, but at least the car gets into second gear now!  Now I really 
want to do a short shift/weighted rod.  Any suggestions on which is the best 
one, and where to get one. I dont want to spend a ton, cause I dont have 
much to spend.  Thanks...
