Seat compatibility

Got a quick question for you all out there.  Will the front seats from an
MK2 Scirocco fit in an 87 Cabriolet?  If not, what else would I need to do
to make them fit?  If no one knows if they fit,  how would I be able to
figure out without being able to get my hands on the Cabbie?  TIA
