Windshiled sealer

Trivia bit.  The factory seal and many repair seals are polyurethane,  
clearish in color.  Black may be buytl sealer.  Mayn not perform as well.

Another possible leak source is the wires that run through firewall.  If 
you've added wires, they may serve as conduit for water to flow (onto 
relay panel, ground points)  Seal/make sure there is downward dip to 
shed water before the firewall.
