bought a "new"Scirocco GTX again...

Hello listers,


I just got myself a Scirocco II GTX for 205 DM ($ 110 !!!) on German eBay.
That car was standing a long time unused in a garage, so the seller
advertised it as "dark grey", but when I drove it through a car-wash
after I bought it, I discovered that it was montego-black ! :-)
The seller said that he bought the car dirty and never cleaned it....
..oh well, I will never understand some kind of people :-)

135.000km, engine and tranny are good, car runs great, 
interior is O.K., the usual wear on the drivers seat,
one crack in the dashboard, some minor things missing or 
have to be fixed, Radio/Cassette is installed,
185/60/14  "AVUS"alloys with good tires were in the car,
some optical flaws on the body, not a showcar,,,but well,
considering the price it's O.K.

I just used this "Cheaprocco" to drive to Hungary and back ( 2200km )
it ran great, although the soft stock suspension and the small
186/60/14 wheels are not my taste..
