All Scirocco were made at the Karmann coachworks.

Wolfsburg is the HQ of VW - starting in 1983, VW sold
a "Wolfsburg edition" of the 8V Scirocco in U.S. It
has nothing to do with where the car was made.
"Wolfsburg edition" refers to a special
appearance/option package that often included leather
seats.
