Re: Ditching the Heater core
Well,
I'd say that it can be done, but I'm not sure of the benefits. The a/c stuff
weighs a ton and sucks up horse power, but the heater can actually help your
car. Since it runs off of the water, you can turn on the heat to help your
engine cool off when you're running it to the max.
The other lister who mentioned that you may be without the front defroster
brought up another good point. I'd think the way our cars can leak water,
you may need to keep at least the venting to blow on the front window.
