RE: [Fun Q] How much can YOUR Scirocco haul?

The most I've had in a Scirocco was a trip from
Wilmington, NC to the Chicago area in my sort-of mom's
'88 16V.  Besides the two of us, and 1 small bag each,
we hauled: a laptop, a weber kettle, a wheelbarrow, 12
paintings on stretchers over 24"sqared, a 24-place
china set and 4 queen sized quilts.  That's all that I
can remember -- this was about 6 years ago.  This
particular 16V had done some other high-gross trips,
but this was the only one I had actually seen/
participated in.

Another question:
my driver's side lock tumbler has frozen. I can still
lock and unlock on the pax side and the central
locking locks/unlocks the driver door. I have heard
that it is not good to use lock de-icers.  Is this
true, and if so what should I use to free the tumbler.
