I may be buying a Scirocco soon. I used to have a MkI (1980).  I liked the car, but I'm thinking a MkII would be better this time around.

Can anyone give me any reason why I shouldn't get a 16v?  I'm aware of the problem with them eating up the passenger side motor mount.

The car will be used for a daily driver.  I don't have any plans to race it.
