dyno requirements?

Before i head out to the dyno tommorow, is there anything "special" i would
need to know? like what shannon mentioned about the gearing? or any neat
tweaks to try? all i want to do is, run it without the downpipe and see if
that's causing my boost problems. then fiddle around with the timing.
