Actually, the horn goes on when the trigger wire is -grounded-. So you want
to find an alarm output lead that gets grounded when the alarm goes off. No
need for a diode. Most alarms have a horn output. If the horn output on the
alarm is a +12 output, you'll need to use a relay.
