Tech: A possible reason for high coolant readings?
Well I've had the guage cluster out of the 8V for a couple of days to fix
the oddometer(thanks Foxx in a box and your site). In it's place I had a
cluster from my old 16V. Now the 8V's temp is right around the middle,
usually over the upper part of the LED. The old 16V usually ran hot,
midway between the LED and the top. So now my temp is reading almost
midway between the LED and top. Anyone who had high temp problems ever
thought to replace the coolant temp guage? Might be something to check.
BTW in case anyone thought it was hot out, it was around 25 degrees F.
