Again, thanks for the really helpful info.

Now, I'm going to mix things up a bit with a really silly question:  Would
it be worthwhile to just put a turbo on the 1.7 (after properly beefing it
up, of course)?  Has anyone done or tried this?  If so, what were the
results?
