It depends on how it cracks........
If the engine is almost empty of coolant, the water could run all the way to
the back of the block and create a huge crack that will gush even when not
under pressure.
If it cracks other places, you can get water in your oil, oil in the water,
or either one of those sucked into the cylinder when running.
