What type of drag racing are you wanting to do?  Muscle car, rice, import, 
street, etc...  If you want just a fast, straight line car, get an old 
Trans-am, put a ported, cammed, 400cid V-8 small block, headers, holly 750cfm 
4 barrel, curbed ignition, munsy 4 speed, and a properly geared rear-end with 
tires to match.  That's it!  Easy for under 4 bigones.  Oh yeah, if it has 
leaf springs, traction bars!!!

If you want to be unique, do this with a Chevy S-10 pickup.
