Got the panel in!! (and a question on gauge wiring)
Hey all.
First of all, much love to Greg Davis of GAK Motorsports,
www.driversfound.com. I got my 3 gauge panel a couple weeks ago, and I
took to installing it today. Got it all in and stuff, and it looks
great!!
I have my bar-o-meter, my volt meter and my oil temp gauge in, but alas,
I don't have my dual-output sender yet for the oil pressure, so for now
I just have my volts and oil temp hooked up. I also found out that all
of the bulbs I got with the wiring harness (from a 4000) were all bad,
and I blew my temp light, so I have no lights on my 3 gauges. Once I
get new bulbs and my pressure sender, I'll be all happy!! One question,
though. On the harness I got, there is a wire running from the sensor
input to the light bulb. Does the incoming signal need to be grounded
as well? I just thought (possibly wrongly) that the signal just needed
an input. I guess what I'm asking is, when I get my pressure sender, do
I need to ground the signal input as well as the gauge itself?
Oh, and good job on the Treffen page, Jim. My car really looks good!!
=o)
