help needed w/ a misfire problem..

hey guys, i've had this problem for a _long_ time and i want to know if you guys can help me!

It's a random intermittent misfire I can hear in the exhaust. 
It happens about every .5 to 2 seconds at idle, and happens at any rpm (i think) it's hard to tell cause the exhaust is loud. 
I've put a timing light on every plug wire, and the light flashes with every power pulse (i dont see it skipping when the misfire hits) so i dont think it's ignition..

I have a built 1.8 JH with a g-grind, and i thought it was the cam, but i dont think so anymore, because i recall it being there since before the rebuild (2 years ago)
I've replaced:
engine
coil
distributor
plug wires
plugs
idle stabilizer
fuel system/injectors have been power cleaned
have set the CO screw many a time-always misses
new thermo time switch
new o2 sensor


I have a used MSD 6A ignition i've had forever, i cant recall if the misfire was there before i installed it, but i think so. 

Also, the engine will buck and miss like crazy right after i turn it on if it's cold, and it'll do it for about 2 minutes until it gets some heat in it. 
i was thinkning ignition module???
any ideas??
