Close-ratio tranny question

I have a clsoe ratio tranny from my old A2 GTi, and i am getting it rebuilt 
with a taller 5th gear for better cruising.  i was just wondering how easy it 
would be to bolt it up to an A1 gti or scirocco.  What size Clutch disc?  
Anything special i should know?  Thanks a lot.
