upgrading brakes on 80 rocco

What would i need to upgrade the brakes on my 80 rocco. the master cylinder 
is basically shot right now. and i heard people telling me to upgrade it. 
what's required. the booster and master cylinder? what else? how would it 
connect to the pedal correctly?
