Next time just check the door jamb info which will have
some indication of the country of origin (e.g. 'meets DOT
standards', etc.) It most likely had laden/unladen weights
also listed in kilograms, tipping you off that it wasn't originally
US spec. Canadian cars are metric-equipped BTW, so it coulda been one
of ours.
