Re: Front Anti-Sway Bar - Washers?
It can SEEM like you need to elongate the holes, but you don't. If you look
at the studs on the upper strut bearings, you will notice that they do not
make a perfect 90 degree angle with the ground. So the top of the stud is
not directly on top of the lower part. This causes the stress bar
installation to be slightly less than straight forward. But it is easy to
work the stress bar around the bolt angles. Just don't put the bar all the
way down on one or two bolts before you try to engage the other bolts. Once
the stress bar passes the angled part of the bolts, it sits directly in the
correct spot on the strut towers. If you need to elongate holes, your
chassis is not true.
