The server definitely has to be setup with the proper MIME types for the SWF
files. IE is very forgiving, and intelligent enough to not trust the web
server's header information, but Netscape has trouble if the server doesn't
specify the correct MIME type in the HTTP header info. After your "enter"
page, Netscape tried to send me to the Macromedia site looking for a plugin
for the "text/plain" MIME type (which is obviously incorrect for Shockwave).
Even after I downloaded the latest Flash player and (re)installed it, it
still told me that I didn't have the right plugin. Funny thing is that I
don't know how it at least knew to send me to Macromedia...

Anyway, talk to your Web provider about those MIME types. The "swf" file
extension should be associated with the "application/x-shockwave-flash" MIME
type, as shown in the Navigator->Applications section of your Netscape
preferences.

BTW, this was Netscape 4.72
