I have probably spent about $600 USD on my system. It came right out of the
box and I added a few on my own fittings to suit my needs.

I have had good luck with my system so far. My system came from Nitrous
Oxide Systems(N.O.S.). They have a fairly extensive website that answered
most of my questions. The URL is: http://www.nosnitrous.com/ My system is
the one for "water-cooled VW".

is quite easy, why are there just a few people using it ?>>
I think there's many rumors about nitrous blowing up an engine or burning
pistons. This is true if you don't have the knowledge to tune the system
properly or try to get mega-horsepower out of a "stock" engine. If you go
for the mild setups, you are probably fine. There is a cost after the
initial purchase of the hardware. Nitrous cost about $3.50 USD per pound and
my bottle holds 10 pounds. A bottle will average 110 seconds for me. It
doesn't seem very long, but it's a hell of alot of fun. If you were doing
7-second, 0-60 runs; that would be 15 runs. When was the last time you did
15 runs in a row? ;-)
<< why I'm asking ? : none of my friends here has it, so I'm not able to get
any direct info from NOS-users here. >>
You may also want to check if you can even get nitrous where you're at.
