Well yeah, but you might as well actually buy a 2L block.  The intermediate
shaft in the 1.8L block would also have to be clearanced for the 2L
crank throw.  The stock 2L bore is 82.5mm which is (IMHO) about the
max bore I'd take a 1.8L block to...sure others have done more, but
you run the risk of an overheating / predetonation condition.  Just my
opinion mind you, but I'd get a real 2L block.  If you're set on boring
and stroking a block, bore up a 2L to 83mm and drop in a TD stock 95.5mm
crank for an (almost) 2.1 liter displacement.
