RE: Alt. failure, what size?
I just did this on my 16V. It's a 9.5 x 630. The Continental part number
is AVX 10-630.

Subject: Alt. failure, what size?
ON the way home last night cruising at 80 these guys passed me on three
bikes
and man they must of been going 130 so I figured they would get the ticket
before me so I stepped it up to 95 and while i was there, dink the alt and
oxs light come on. So I back down to 80, turned off all elec. accessories,
by
the time I got home the lights were dimming and the instruments were acting
funky. It was late last night so this morning I pop the hood and I see a
totally shredded alt V-belt.
Does anybody know the size I should get for my Alt V-belt on an 86 16v. The
Bentley says to compare the size with the old one but it is totally shredded
thanks everyone. Peace
Brian 86 16v
