Re: Can a 1.8 16V tranny withstand a 2.0 L
I have linked the 16v tranny up with my 2.1 on my 82 and with my 2.0 on my
86, both these rocs are highly modified....have never had a tranny problem.
However, I do use the quaife diff on the 82. Also, as Brett suggested,
upgrade the clutch as soon as you are able. I run the Sachs race set up on
the 82 and Sachs Sport on the 86.
