Noise + Smell .. HELP!!

I had the Heater on tonight as I was driving home and all of a sudden
This VERY LOUD Scary Noise came from the heater - Fan- vents + a odd
odor!!! The noise was Like a grinding sound. What in the hell could it
be?????

Please help me if you have any ideas on how I can fix this problem.
