Re: 16V Scirocco (tranny blow up)



I agree with Dan here.  I downshift all the time and have yet to run
into problems with my trannies.  One is a 9A and one is a 4K.  There is
however a big difference in "downshifting" and rev matching when you
downshift.  I can see downshifting and letting out the clutch without
blipping the throttle being tough, but if you rev match and it is smooth
like butter, even at high rpm's, how bad can that be?  Anyone have
insight to rev matching being better or worse?
