Speedometer

Hi All,

Just got back from my neighborhood VW dealer and while I was there I
inquired about getting my odometer fixed by a friend that works in the parts
dept.  Anyway, he said I could still get a brand new 160 MPH speedo for my
car for only $120.  The only problem that I'm having with mine, is that the
odo comes and goes.  Has anybody experienced any problems other than the odo
quitting?  Fixing the old one or installing the new one is almost the same
amount of work.  Do you guys think I should fix the old one or go for the
new.  BTW I show my car as stock so I'm wondering about the mileage thing,
although I'd get a sticker.  Any advise would be appreciated.
