you can use any kind of paint just put primer down
first.  I used duplicolor school bus yellow on mine
and some regular equipment primer first.  total cost
to do 2 cars was less than $10.  Has held up for a
year.  although brake dust is a pain-ferodo's throw a
lot of dust though.
