Re: MK1 brakes

If you replace the booster then you will have the opportunity to install a 
22 or 25mm master cylinder. Good idea to replace it. Just install the brake 
light switches as you would for the original equip. If that is not very 
feasible then replace the peedal assy ( Ive dne this every time I've 
converted like this and it never fails to work). HTH
