Your ideal setting is the softest dampening rate that "gets the job done". A
stiff ride can be a lot worse handling than a softer one depending on what kind
of roads you are traveling on, what kind of spring rates you are running,
type/size tires and wheels, and the total suspension travel. Of course, it is
usually the other way around, but... Yeah, start experimenting from the softer
settings and then go up from there.
