I had an 83GTi for about 6 years.  I LOVED the car.  It rusted out & I was 
mentally done with working on it so I sold it to a listmember.  If you find a 
really good one, I guarantee you'll like it.  They're fun, easy to work on, 
and quite reliable.  HTH
