non-rocc...FORD mechanic needed

I recall reading once that a guy on the list is a Ford mechanic...I
have a few questions about my Explorer that I need answers and advice
about...and I dont care what anybody else says there is a not a vw with
the exception of the eurovan ( and i dont want a van!!!!) that will fit
three kids and a dog comfortably...so no get rid of it flames 
and additionally I own 2 16v's and that should be sufficient

my two problems are the gas guage doesnt work and I believe the clutch
may be going ....I just want a little advice about getting it fixed and
other thing to look for
