Re: List opinion on keeping the Roc
The car has not been abused. The driveshaft was just found to be bent after
replacing my fourth flange seal. The boots are my fault but the car lived
all of its life except for the past six months on 8 miles of washboarded
rock road to get to anywhere and back. That just tears vehicles up. The
only thing close to abuse is the occsaional auto-cross, day to day the car
never sees over 3500rpm. I understand the elderly need care, this all this
suspension stuff has been in the past two months. On top of that theres the
other little monthly stuff, i.e this months list. Reverse light switch,
heater core valve (still hasnt fixed the prob), coolant resovoir, climate
control panel, oil cap, coolant hose (special part of course). I spend a
averagfe of 60-70 bucks a month in parts, 50% is usually preventative
maintence. Anyway I have babied this car like no other...and love it in a
downright sick way. I just want it to run for at least a 2 months without
something breaking. Maybe I should look for a new 16V.....Thanks for
letting me rant........
