Re: why does pennzoil smell so nasty?
Kevin,
I didn't mean to infer you personally were saying it was a
problem, but I rather was hoping someone might definitively refute
the claims you'd heard about.
Now as for Mobil, do they make a 20-50 weight? I know Vdubbers
who swear by 30wt oil, but my one experience with it wasn't
hopeful. Actually, I wasn't totally sure how to analyze some of
the results of its use: it got really black, really fast. I
could think, "Hmmm, better detergent in this stuff. It must be
doing its job." Or I could think, "It's broken down already?
Glad I check the oil often." Maybe it was my imagination, but I
could swear the engine was a tad noisier. Real scientific, I
know.
Any thoughts? Anyone?
Jennifer

| Hi Jennifer.. whoa, I never said that Castrol was a problem, I
just pointed
| out that I'd read some internet propaganda to that effect, and
even gave
| a little disclaimer about its source. So I personally have NO
idea if
| there was one iota of truth in what I read. My guess? You
probably
| have absolutely nothing to worry about.
|
| That said - go with Mobil 1! :0
