Beep, Beep

<x-charset iso-8859-1>Hey all-
My horn started honking today whenever I turned the wheel about 90 degrees
either way. So I pulled the negative wire out of its socket and it still
did it. I pulled the fuse until I could get home and check it out. There's
been a slight clicking noise coming from the steering column for about the
last 6 months but I figured it was just something in the turn signal/wiper
mechanism. I didn't have time to pull the wheel and inspect the column.
The horn just happens to go off right when the click is heard while turning
the wheel. My first thought is that there's a short in the wiring in the
column caused by the signal/wiper mechanism. Anyone dealt with this or have
any thoughts? I knew it had been too long since something had broken. TIA
