<x-charset iso-8859-1>the 1985 GTI came with a code HT motor.. high compression 10:1 hydro head
the 1986-1989 8v GTI's came with Code RD hydro head 10:1 motors.
No GTI that I know of came stock with a 2.0 8v..  later GTI 16v's came
with a 2.0

does the A2 Gti from 85-89 have the 1.8 engine or does it have a bigger
engine in it?
and does anyone know of a web page that goes through how to put a 2.0 bubble
in an MK1 rocco, somthing that tells all that is needed and diagrams or
anything?
