RE: Scirocco "Carman" series?

<x-charset iso-8859-1>Karmann was/is a coachbuilder - kind of like Fisher used to build bodies for
GM cars, Karmann built bodies for a lot of the cooler VWs.  The Karmann Ghia
was built by them using VW parts/assemblies (hence the name - the other part
of the name comes from the Italian design house Ghia), and if I'm not
mistaken, all the Bug 'verts were built by them with the exception of the
really rare stuff like the Hebmu:ller (sorry - don't know how to get the
umlaut on top of the u).  Didn't they also build the Rabbit convertibles,
etc.?  They didn't by any chance build Corrados as well, did they?
