Parts Place Inc. has brand new ones for 89 bucks. This is your best bet
as any used ones might give you similar troubles. The part number is
171-941-831c  Call them up at 1-248-373-2300. I'm not sure if you know
of these guys or not but they are the best. They will give you tech info
over the phone and have the largest inventory (ive been told) of new and
used VW parts in the nation.
