No.
It was verrrrry easy to nail the speedo on these cars.
Due in part to Ralph Nader's efforts, most cars sold
in the U.S. during this period (early 80's) came with
85mph speedos. I forget what the rationale was, but I
think it came down from some Govmt agency.
Surely, it was absurd.
