Removing glue and sound deadening

<x-charset iso-2022-jp>Does anyone have any recommendations on removing the glue that's used on 
parts of the interior?

Also, I removed most of the last layer (asphalt stuff) of sound deading on 
the passenger side floor w/a screw driver and putty knife. Is there an easier 
way to do this? How about removing the last bit of asphalt residue?
